About Koriboshi

We’re sauna enthusiasts who began our journey over five years ago in climbing gym saunas. What started as post-climb relaxation quickly became a daily ritual — but we kept facing one annoying problem: our hair was getting fried in the heat and our heads was suffering from overheating.

That’s when we discovered sauna hats. Unfortunately, none felt quite right — they were rough, hard to wash, or just plain uncomfortable. During a visit to Asian, we noticed something different: people wearing cleverly folded “sheep head” towels to protect their hair. Later in Japan, we found beautifully made cotton sauna hats inspired by the same idea.

This inspired us to create Kori Boshi —
Kori = Ice
Boshi = Hat
